The last time NSW cops got more power over protests they beat the seven shades of shit out of Hannah Thomas. Every law you make to empower police against Nazis, will be used against environmentalists, unions and all social activists. This has always been the way

The @australianlabor.bsky.social party can spin this more than
Warney's Gatting Ball, but the lack of a climate trigger is utterly absurd, almost as absurd as their deceptively named 'Safeguard Mechanism'. The drip-fed EPBC 2.0 details are not looking great www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10....
'Climate trigger' formally ruled out of environment laws
A "climate trigger" that could be used to block coal and gas projects has been formally excluded from the government's overhaul of Australia's environment laws, minister Murray Watt confirms.

This is grotesque. I lost any love for Vercel & Next years ago, but seeing him cozy up with genocide in Gaza — is beyond words. I feel for the employees.

The horrifying truth: businesses that worked with the Nazis didn’t fall to capitalism. It’s down to us, we have to take our business elsewhere.

University of Technology Sydney ordered a spreadsheet from KPMG targeting individual academics by research income, which might contravene the bargaining agreement. They repeatedly denied it even existed for several info requests. But that wasn't true. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/educati...
Exclusive: University sought secret KPMG staff spreadsheet
The University of Technology Sydney denied the existence of a KPMG spreadsheet ranking the research performance of academics, in breach of its EBA, until it was forced to release it.

If the Vic gov wanted to get rid of the nazis, they've got a window. Aggravated assault/intentionally or recklessly causing injury, the racism as an aggravating factor in sentencing, and referring to the Feds the commission of a terrorist act with the aim of listing them as a proscribed organisation

It would be built 2km from a primary school.

To be clear, the climate crisis is really, really, really bad already. You should be scared and you should be fighting with everything you have.

No matter how bad it gets from here, it will be intolerable. We must throw everything we have at mitigation and adaptation to limit the damage.
