NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

On this day eight years ago, during the fascist Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA, neo-Nazi James Fields drove his car into a crowd of antifascists, killing 32-year-old paralegal Heather Heyer.

She is gone but many of us survived to fight another day.
Remember her.
Don’t give up.

U guys are actually delusional. Anyone advocating that the U.S. government, which has spent the past year attempting to criminalize speech against war crimes, should replicate China’s extreme censorship of online speech and that will somehow be better for marginalized ppl needs to stfu w all respect
Thing with "free speech" today is that people are noticing online media makes it toxic and so far, none of the west's proposed solutions have worked. China on the other hand, has been less affected by trolls and radical speeches allowing society to move but at a slower and steadier pace.

You don’t even have to take my word for it, the Heritage Foundation and other right wing pro-Trump groups have been very explicit about how they plan to use “online safety” laws and the backlash to social media in the U.S. to censor all LGBTQ content, abortion info, etc off the internet.
Heritage Foundation Says That Of Course GOP Will Use KOSA To Censor LGBTQ Content

The most insane part is that OSA was passed back when the Tories were in charge of the HoC. All Labour had to do was table a motion to repeal it. But Labour under Keir Starmer has zero fucking backbone. They're going to walk the UK right into the hands of Reform simply by acting like 'Tories-light'.
Left wing voices have completely abdicated the issue of civil liberties/free speech online and now the extreme far right is taking the issue up and recruiting people off the backlash to age verification. Especially young gamers

The city of Philadelphia slapped the union with multiple injunctions during the strike, and was rumored to have been planning to use the courts to force the sanitation workers back to work.

So much for all those speeches from the mayor about “respecting” the workers.
