Some absolutely STUNNING designs in the new NSW Mid Rise Pattern Book.

The smaller designs can be built on lots as small as 13 metres wide, smaller than the average lot in Brisbane!

There’s no reason why these shouldn’t be permitted by right everywhere in Brisbane too. (well except flood zones)

Embarrassing for Pauline that she couldn’t even come up with a new political stunt and had to recycle a nearly decade-old one… #Auspol

This is very good. Clear, calm, factual, and devastating for proponents of bans on puberty blockers for trans youth.

Puberty blockers: why politicians overriding doctors sets a dangerous precedent
The government’s ban on puberty blockers undermines clinical expertise and targets trans youth with a policy that lacks evidence, consistency and fairness.

The way some people were talking about Pokemon ZA you'd think it was a complete technical disaster on par with Scarlet and Violet. My experience? It's fine. Not revolutionary, but it has a lot of the things I want from a Pokemon game.

when people post stuff like this i go insane trying to figure out what they do with their free time that basic fictional concepts are unknown to them. they can't be reading or watching anything evidently. are they just staring at the wall every evening?

Tbh I think TGA should give Donkey Kong GOTY just because it would be so funny to see everyone's reactions.

And when asylum seekers go ahead of their families to try and establish themselves they're painted as cold and callous for "leaving their families behind". It's a no-win situation.
BBC News: "the government believe refugees are deliberately bringing their children to avoid deportation"

As opposed to doing what with their children??

My t-shirt saying I did not brief against ministers has people asking questions that are answered by my shirt
NEW: Keir Starmer spoke to his senior No 10 team this morning and said briefings against ministers are “completely unacceptable” and would bring consequences, No 10 say. He was “assured that no No 10 staff briefed against ministers” and accepted this assurance.

You know you've got #POTS when one of the best things to happen to you in the last month is that you discover your favourite flavour of your preferred electrolyte drink is once again being made! (For some reason they stopped making the lemon flavour over a year ago!)

What a truly bizarre way to report on the fact that a decisive majority of Australians want to stick with net zero...

In news that shocks absolutely nobody, protecting bigotry under the Equality Act is fucking stupid and the judges who have opened the door to this should never work again.
This is how transphobia's right wing fuckery blew open basic respect in the UK, there is absolutely no reason to expect now that being "women critical" is not also a protected belief, if you truly do not believe that women should just be reproductive slaves for cis men.

This will be used to abuse.

The thing about Mamdani that makes me happy is that he is ambitious. I would much rather we have ambitious politicians who don’t necessarily meet all their goals, than unambitious politicians who also almost always don’t meet all their goals, lol. Shoot for the moon, etc.

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.
