If the cost of living crisis won’t move this government, maybe the collapse of their climate programme will.

After 35 years of privatisation:
- No new major water reservoirs built
- 3bn litres lost to leaks every day
- £85bn taken in dividends.

Public ownership is the only credible fix.

We can’t survive without nature.

Proud to stand with @chrisgpackham.bsky.social kham and @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social to launch our Bill giving nature the legal protections it deserves.

The Greens will keep fighting for nature, because when we protect nature, we protect everything we depend on.

Good to see Ed Davey calling for the govt to publish the legal advice it has received on breaches of international law in the Israel-Gaza war this morning.

I led a debate on this topic in June, and I repeat the calls I made then.🧵
Today I led a debate on UK compliance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, highlighting the horrific crisis in Gaza: mass killings, starvation, displacement. The evidence of genocide is undeniable and demands urgent action. 🧵

UK buying US jets that will remain under US control sounds to me like simply a sop to Trump.

It’s also a dangerous misdirection of scarce funds.

True security requires a completely different approach.

Oil and gas giants have made huge profits for decades while driving climate change. It’s only fair they help fix the damage.
