I’ve had more homeless people harass me while stopped at a red light than when I ride public transit and it’s not even close.
I ride public transit to work every day, and while I know that there is not a zero risk of crime that way, the statistical risk of me dying by driving a car is much greater. But no one is calling for banning cars.

Today, Russia's military casualties (dead+wounded) in Ukraine surpassed the US's in WW2. My take:
1. Certain political systems are insensitive to the loss of lives. Don't become that.
2. Negotiating with Putin is useless because his war tolerance is extremely high. He needs to be defeated.
