i think my fav moment i've ever experienced in a game is taking a few steps out of the starter town in morrowind when a body fell out of the sky & thudded at my feet

There was no Future Class last year and there will not be one this year, because we had the audacity to do the thing we were good at and the powers that be that had underestimated us were too cowardly to put their money where their mouths were. 🤷🏻♀️
I mean when you put 149 people known for their activism, advocacy, and organizing skills in the industry in a room and tell them they are the bright, bold, inclusive future of the industry, can you really be surprised when they start advocating and organizing themselves to create such a future 🤔

perhaps the most egregious thing that happened with the Future Class was when The Game Awards took money from Old Spice in the name of the FC & simply... pocketed it
it wasn't used to fund Future Class initiatives, it wasn't used to help lift marginalised developers
they just profited from us
