So fucking done with this “interesting times” bullshit.
This past week had ups and downs, but it seems to be ending on a high note (at least, so far). There is, of course, still time for that to change. There have been a LOT of ups and downs lately. But today was good, so I'm going to be happy about that.

Ok, I understand that burning the candle at both ends is a great way to burn yourself out real fast, but what if you are juggling three candles that are also burning at both ends? Does the added variety of pressure stave off burnout?

Extremely not impressed by how much snow is happening outside right now.

At least it doesn't appear to be sticking on the ground... yet...

I am not a violent person. I have never been in a fight. I was punched once (in the stomach, by a girl in grade 3 who wanted to name our reading group "The Iron Maidens" and I, in my innocence, preferred something stupid like "The Smurfettes"; I admit, I had that coming. I'm glad she punched me.

Holy shit, and also, great blessings upon the family of the human recipient mentioned in the article for allowing their loved one with no remaining brain activity to be a test candidate to determine if their body would reject a treated kidney.
This is huge news!
UBC has developed an enzyme that can convert donor organs to type O, making them universal.
Normally a using organs of the wrong blood type causes the recipient's immune system to attack the organ, leading to failure.
