In almost anywhere on the political spectrum you ID with or major issue, there’s probably a bot/troll operation to encourage your rage and vitriol.
And how/where that rage gets directed, esp understandable rage, is what they are out to influence.

People on this app get really angry every time I point out that social media manipulation is a real phenomenon that we are all stewing in and that’s having real world consequences and I’m sure part of that is engagement farmers who do that manipulation not liking people talking about it

You kind of have to ask yourself why someone would do that to a country they supposedly love. You usually don’t systematically dismantle the entire infrastructure of something like that.
I’m not sure the rest of the country fully grasps the panic and anger building in DC, MD, and VA.
The entire economy of this area is about to collapse. Paychecks are stopping. Careers are ruined. Taxes are about to plummet. Yet no one seems able to stop this madness.

I don't think anyone is demanding that every person needs stacks of film, VHS, DVDs and Blurays but the fact is, owning physical media is the only way to guarantee access to what you wish to see in the future. We are seeing streaming getting yanked on a whim and it's only going to get worse.

Listen, I LOVE the Stones and the new record was decent for something that came out after Some Girls but what a complete waste of an award. What is the average voting age/demo for the Grammys? Don’t get me started on that fairly interesting but completely uninspiring AI assisted Beatles track.

This is literally how they sabotaged untold domestic political groups and you can see it at play today amongst the online left. It’s hard to tell if the sabotage is intentional or if people really do just think this is how things should be done because it’s been going on like this for so long.
