Make America (Heat Stroke) Again
District officials say classroom temperatures reached unsafe levels this week with some students and staff members experiencing heat-related illnesses. Temperatures are expected to reach the 80s today but climb back up into the 90s next week.
Plagued by hot weather, Portland Public Schools says it will release students early Friday
The announcement comes as the district says it’s been working all week to keep students cool and comfortable inside buildings that don’t have air conditioning.
