What lil enforcement and restraint that was there in 2016-2020 is now completely gone.

These folks are unencumbered by needing to "run again" and truly feel like with the house, senate and WH that they have a mandate to do whatever they wish.
I don’t mean to be all doom and gloom. I really don’t. But I think too many folks think it will be like last time. And I just want to be clear. It is not.

Obama and Hillary both met with BLM and asked them what they wanted and they said, “Don’t ask us what we want, tell us what you can do” like they were on an episode of Power
Correct! MLK had the President’s ear. These new people think that they can just hoot and holler.

This has been my frustration with a lot of what I’m hearing.

It’s a lot of talk about mutual aid and local coalition building but that is not gonna cut it.

We need power and we need it in high places.
There's a lot of post election chatter, analysis, and suggestions for survival, but are we organizing to build power?

The reason they win is because they understand the ultimate goal is to achieve power by any means to further their goals.

We need power.

Democrats should let “Americans” have the disastrous cabinet #they voted for.

Are we not tired of saving (the majority of white people) from themselves?
As Mike Johnson works to bury the Gaetz report Hakeem Jeffries is talking about - checks notes - bipartisanship.

Yeah, thats why twitter is the way it is now, thinking we gotta play nice with those muthafukkas, fuck that.

Blocking EVERY MAGA only exacerbates the same communication silos Musk created artificially. We WANT our ideas to be heard broadly. We NEED to hear theirs to counter them.
Please don't put the everyday MAGA on block lists. We should only block the leading LIARS.
We WANT X-party discourse here.

BlueSky is filling a void that 35+ up been looking for. Social media should be a cool distraction. Not stressful and annoying. Folks wanna laugh and have healthy banter and wit and sarcasm. A feeling of community. Not all these bots and ads and weird ass algorithms and engagement farming

The most persistent lie I’ve heard repeated over the last two weeks is that children are receiving gender affirming surgery and that it’s happening in schools and without parental consent. From people I previously considered smart. Those ads really broke through, man. And it’s terrifying.
