if you look at what they've defunded, it's clear that the trump white house believes a woman who is the victim of physical or sexual violence (unless, perhaps, at the hands of an immigrant) should not have access to a lawyer or other assistance

Had a friend that worked for the f/eds doing these investigations and he had to get out. It was traumatizing him.
I contended with this dark reality every day of my doctoral research on the history of child trafficking laws in the US. It is all so much worse than one could ever imagine, and so much more important and telling than we are led to believe.
Chattel slavery was a pedophile economy.
