What media you support is a statement of your priorities and your values. If you think Trump needs to work more effectively with a GOP Congress, support The Washington Post. If you believe we must fight for our democracy, then consider becoming a Democracy Docket subscriber today. hubs.ly/Q03jcjqP0

The federal agency that delivers $1.5T a year in earned benefits to 73M retired workers, their survivors, & poor & disabled Americans is engulfed in crisis—further undermining the already struggling org’s ability to provide reliable & timely service to vulnerable customers.

It's a "cycle of doom."
Long waits, waves of calls, website crashes: Social Security is breaking down
A flood of cuts led by Elon Musk has sent the agency into chaos as a new commissioner prepares to take charge.

I believe it is 100% a tactic to get us not to vote. They want us to think it's a lost cause and give up and not vote, because they KNOW that there are more of us and that we are raging. Everyone MUST get out there and vote, in every election. Local elections too. Every election matters!!
Some asked if there will be fair elections. We’re all discouraged, but maybe that rhetoric’s a manipulation tactic (not by posters) to convince us not to vote.

We can’t see the future, but we know history. If we go vote, maybe we lose some time in line. But stay home and don’t vote, 100% we lose.

The immediate focus should be on registering voters, especially those who have been purged from voter roles (e.g. in TX), and ensuring that everyone who need an ID to vote gets one right away. Consider volunteering with When We All Vote or VoteRiders. We still have time, but we must act now.

EVERY HOUSE SEAT and 33 Senate seats are up for election in 2026. THAT must be the focus. Let’s get disciplined.

The Wall Street Journal had a piece last night that the Judicial Conference of the United States — the policy making body for the federal judiciary — is discussing whether the Judiciary should have its own armed security force rather than rely on the U.S. Marshals for federal judges’ protection.

These people have no business being in any type of healthcare, much less having a platform or any power. So many people are going to die because of these cruel eugenicist idiots.
As the parent of a type-I diabetic, I would like to invite the ignorant piece of shit currently directing the FDA to kiss my ass.

I know we want this nightmare to be over right now. But they spent decades rolling out their awful plan to bring us to this point. It's going to take time, effort, sacrifice, strategy, and mass resistance to get us out of this. But we can do it. And then we can build a US with prosperity for all.
They spent decades rolling out this horrible plan. Understand it will take time to get us out.

Here’s something you can do as a palate cleanser while watching the GOP destroy healthcare: demand that Jeffries tap Rep. Crockett for ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.

Because there will be hearings on all of this eventually. And we want her running them. 🔥

While I appreciate the "lock him up" and "impeach him" sentiments (and I'm with you), if Mueller, Garland, and impeachment taught us anything, its that 1) SCOTUS is corrupt and 2) We have to do this ourselves. As I've been saying for nearly 8 years: it's up to us. Always has been.

Climate change is making it more expensive for Americans to insure their homes or small businesses. For many, it can be nearly impossible to get an affordable policy.

We need to work urgently to bring these costs down and expand coverage.

#OTD in 1965, the Head Start program was created in an effort to curb wide-spread poverty. 60 years later, as similar economic pressure persists, and child care is harder to find & afford, I will continue to advocate for those this program was created to serve.

Today marks the 60th anniversary of Head Start! I am a proud former Head Start coordinator and I believe every child should have access to a quality education from an early age.

We must fight to protect Head Start and continue to promote an early childhood education.
