A lot of white journalists have a persistent level of empathy and good faith for white Trump voters and white nationalists. It's often evident in how stories about these two groups are framed, reported, edited and defended online compared to stories about Black Americans and progressive activists.

I honestly don’t know why they frame it as if these companies are reluctantly giving up DEI- these companies are disinvesting in DEI because they don’t think the courts or the political system will punish them for discrimination anymore. DEI existed for most as a lawsuit barrier.
