Actually, just do what your doctor said. This convicted felon bankrupted a casino, so I don't think we should listen to him about much of anything.
Every day he finds new ways to turn the US into a giant insane asylum.

Posting a criticism of Charlie Kirk - much less noting something outrageous he himself said - is not “celebrating” his murder. Nor is it condoning his murder. It is simply saying that his political career and legacy are not something to be celebrated. And that is not the same thing at all.

Political violence has no place in this country…

But we will also do nothing to curb the availability of the guns used to carry out said violence.

The denial and empty rhetoric is learned helplessness— because the truth is..

America is sick and there is no cure in sight.

Absolutely true. There is no place for political violence from any "side".
We must stand resolutely against political assassination and political violence of all kinds, and just as resolutely against everyone who exploits acts of violence as the pretext or excuse for political repression of political opponents.
Very, very bad stuff coming from leading right-wingers

/2 Trump appeals to people for a reason: because they’re shitty people with shitty values from a shitty culture. When he’s a nasty, bullying, bigoted thug that appeals to them because those are their values. I’m not going to try to be more thuggy or bigoted or bullying to find common ground.

Funny how the US has basically the government of Iran now: Supreme Leader who rules by decree, priestly council with token opposition that decides whether the decisions are okay or not on arcane scriptural grounds, and completely ceremonial legislature

Trump doesn't give a crap about South Africa. But he does care about making white Americans scared of Black people. Racism is his jet fuel.

Today May 15th is Peace Officers Memorial Day. Statements like this are inflammatory, disrespectful and flat out lies. Not only did you betray law enforcement, but you sided with people who attacked us. You don't support law enforcement, you are are a criminal.

Yes, its absurd Trump is golfing while the markets are tanking due to his direct actions. But, also, I’m not sure anyone really thinks, boy, if Trump would just focus on the economy he could right this ship. No. Stay golfing man. Don’t touch anything else.

Quite simply, the United States under the Felon-in-Chief is no longer the leader of the free world. We're actually creeping closer to being part of the axis of evil.
In an extraordinary display of public support, heads of state, heads of government, and foreign ministers from all over Europe and Canada are posting in support of Ukraine in response to the Oval Office meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy, and Vance.

Speak truth directly to power. Say it right in his face. This is how it’s done.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

As the proud parent of a nonbinary child, it was quite the thing to hear the Felon-in-Chief condemn my family in his inaugural tirade. He and anyone who agrees with him can fuck right off.

If birthright citizenship did not exist, J.D. Vance's wife would not have been a US citizen when they married. Her parents were not US citizens when she was born.

Is J.D. Vance's wife so dangerous we need to end birthright citizenship? Is she that much of a threat?

I don't think so.

Not everyone can fight Trumpism and Trumpists directly. But remember this: kindness, decency, and fidelity to American values are defiance in the face of Trumpism.

So be kind, decent, and faithful, particularly to the many kinds of people despised and attacked by Trumpists. That’s revolutionary./1

That speech was the most awful thing I’ve ever heard. Full of lies and hate. Inaugurations should call us to our better selves and unite. This was as divisive as you can get. He is a national embarrassment.

Happy MLK Jr. Day, my friends. In 1968, Dr. King spoke the following words, which are equally true today:

"The nation is sick. Trouble is in the land; confusion all around.... But I know, somehow, that only when it is dark enough, can you see the stars."

We must find & feed the points of light.
