Was hanging out with a friend recently who travels in Certain Circles and she offhandedly mentioned that Elon Musk goes to sex parties in Austin, which immediately summoned up the absolutely horrifying prospect of being in the same sex party as Elon Musk

I'd say this is a subset of the larger concept of "base" which - to a kid on the playground - is sacrosanct and beyond debate.
Kids on the playground love the idea of forcefields. It's their favorite sci-fi concept

Like Minnesotans everywhere, I get annoyed when Wisconsin folks say they have 15,000 lakes.

They don't.

They changed their own definition of a lake to say that they had more than Minnesota does.

Small ponds are considered lakes there.
I was curious about the hotlink for this excellent article's claim that Wisconsin has 15,000 lakes. Is it taking you to a simple internet search?

It's not clear from the text below, but if you watch the clip, Megyn is basically saying that she knew for years that he was into children, but is only now disgusted that it turns out he had CSAM on his computer, too. Just revolting apologia while Batya nods along like a clown.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

The problem with this tactic is that sooner or later MAGA world is going to need to trust that Kash Patel and JD Vance can say the word "ephebophile" at a press conference without making an oopsie. Bridge a little too far, imo.

This could be the best or only example of a national act's album that has a Minneapolis song on one side and a Saint Paul song on the other:
"Rocket to Russia" (Ramones)
- "Cretin Hop" (St. Paul)
- "Surfin' Bird" (Minneapolis)
This Minneapolis-related track on Side 2 of the Ramones' "Rocket to Russia" album, is a twinned companion to "Cretin Hop," the lead track on Side 1, an homage to Cretin Avenue in Saint Paul.
