Not the main point, but turkey only became the main Christmas dish for ordinary Britons in the mid-twentieth century. Before that, if families could afford a bird at Christmas it was more likely to be goose (which, unlike turkey, is actually native to the British Isles).

Fair enough to Ford he was very good in the last 10 of the first half and the whole 2nd half. Him and Mitchell really asserted themselves in the game.
I’d say Maro Itoje isn’t getting enough credit in defence. Made NZ’s attack outside the 22 look blunt.
Him or Ollie Lawrence would be my POTM.
