Peter Watkins: "What happened in Paris in the spring of 1871 represented (and still represents) the idea of commitment to a struggle for a better world, and of the need for some form of collective social Utopia - which WE now need as desperately as dying people need plasma"
Twice this year I've had the experience of watching a movie and realizing I'm watching one of the best films ever made.

Bit late to this but it's such a clever piece of AI criticism, developing a literary critique of Sam Altman's auto-metafiction story as a way to explore the grave threats to the "intellectual infrastructure" of the humanities - and HE more broadly - posed by AI lareviewofbooks.org/article/lite...

So…I’ve finally reached the end of these 26 hours of this astounding episode. And, honestly, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, maybe a little sad even. But I just went back to beginning and downloaded Episode 1: Black Christmas! Feeling a bit more normal already!
Fuck yeah! I’ve not listened to this yet but I’m starting ASAP. The Co-Ghosts once achieved the greatest accomplishment in human history (full stop) with their 9-hour review of every Halloween film. But it looks like this may vastly exceed that feat.
Happy Halloween! Episode 376 is now live! 12 hours into a 26ish hour review of every Amityville movie. soundcloud.com/user-3179105...
