Section 1 of the executive order is like "in order for this to mean anything, Congress must act." The rest of it is like "X department shall convene a task force to provide a list of recommendations etc. etc." It's completely toothless and this "blocking states" headline is brain-dead stenography.

wish i could RT this a million. it sucks that the press wants bread and circuses. we can rend our garments about this and get nothing done. or we can give them the fucking circus in favor of helping people.
The way the media covers politics has devolved into just reporting "he said/she said" of both sides, but with democrats choosing not to say anything, they can't even report on it that way.

Let's be very clear that one of the major effects of the CDC no longer recommending various vaccinations is that it becomes much harder for folks who still want to be—or want their children to be—vaccinated to get their insurance providers to cover those vaccinations.
