One reason no one knows Trump radically increased drone strikes and removed any accountability for them is that the guys who pretended to care about such things under Obama turned out just to be mad that Obama existed.
trump was literally president for four years during which he wildly escalated drone warfare, tried to provoke a war with Iran and got into dangerous saber-rattling with north korea. now, he is threatening to take greenland and the panama canal by force. what is this horseshit?

the thing about “democrats should take popular cultural positions” is that what constitutes popular is a function of an interaction between the public and elites. if a faction of elites start screaming about a vulnerable minority and another faction says they have a point, this shapes the public.

Remind them that there are people out there fighting and dying, putting their lives at risk, to protect the values that our leaders are too afraid to even raise their voices to defend. Saving democracy can exact a far higher price than a lost election, not that any of our politicians seem to care.
