Multi level howling
Inside of you are two wolves. Each of them finds two wolves that work under them, who then in turn find two wolves each for themselves and so on. The profits increase as more wolves come on board. One of the Wolves made $100,000 last year working from home.

It is difficult to convey how monumentally idiotic Trump’s tariffs are.

Allow me to try.

Let’s begin with Adam Smith.

In the 200 years prior to Smith’s 1776 “Wealth of Nations” Mercantilism was the dominant view of trade.

Morning Bluesky.

BIG news from Europe after Trump’s pointless hot air last night: the EU leaders will tomorrow consider a 9-point action plan to:

* strip Hungary of its voting rights
* appoint Kaja Kallas as the EU’s full-fledged foreign minister
* create a joint European Army

For me the most insightful thread yet on DeepSeek
As someone who has reported on AI for 7 years and covered China tech as well, I think the biggest lesson to be drawn from DeepSeek is the huge cracks it illustrates with the current dominant paradigm of AI development. A long thread. 1/

This will get almost no attention. It fucking should though.

The combustion of coal, oil and gas is killing one of the most remarkable and important places on the planet before our eyes, and most people are looking away instead.

More than 40% of individual corals monitored around One Tree Island reef bleached by heat stress and damaged by flesh-eating disease

As someone who has worked in fintech (not crypto) for some time, every time I meet someone in the space, they seem to be 1) a wide-eyed optimist who (sometimes genuinely) believe that crypto is going to better the world, 2) a shameless money-grabbing opportunist, or 3) transitioning from 1 to 2.

Yeah the lack of vision and imagination and complete stagnation of creativity is really messed up for a company that was arguably the first social media giant. Feels like they ran out of ideas a decade or so ago now..

I've been thinking for a long time about how we got to this moment of planetary ecological emergency, and, conversely, what the world might look like had we taken a different path.

I enjoy good retro-futuristic ecotopian visions,...

Bubble is taking on incredible proportions
What are we DOING here? We're just meant to sit and act like this insane plagiarism and climate threat that requires more money than anything has ever cost is worth it? Are we meant to pretend that ChatGPT is worth this aimless, meaningless destruction of capital and our environment? For what?
Yeah I need way more money than anyone ever got before. I need it because my shit is difficult right now. But it's important in ways even I haven't been able to work out. OpenAI is a serious business. Help me. Please help me please my serious company is so good. Help me

Crypto operates like a pyramid scheme, where new entrants enrich early adopters, hoping to pass the bag to the next wave.

The issue? Deep pockets are needed to deliver returns for BlackRock, Fidelity ETFs, and underwater crypto startups.

The solution? US taxpayers as the bagholders of last resort

Epic
Nobody - not even Microsoft - has found a true product-market fit or real business from generative AI, and headlines about “$10bn in AI revenue” hide the ugly truth that big tech has invested $200bn in unsustainable, unprofitable tech that doesn't scale.
