Reminder: We are not at war with Venezuela. The people deported are not enemies. The law in question should not apply. Among the most dangerous aspects of the SCOTUS ruling is the idea that the president and his people have the right to arbitrarily determine who our enemies are.

I don't really think members of the serious press are prepared to cover stories of great import whether about economics, politics, or international affairs in which a major factor driving events is sheer stupidity. It just doesn't seem to have enough gravitas for them. So they pretend something...

In 2019, Pfizer reported ZERO taxable profits in the US—despite selling $20 BILLION worth of drugs to American patients.

By reporting their profits offshore, they dodged billions in taxes and paid a 5.4% tax rate.

Don't tell me our tax code isn't rigged for giant corporations.

Worth pointing out that Trump's CIA director John Ratcliffe, who was in the Signal group chat, and who ludicrously tried to defend it in Congress this week, was confirmed with the votes of 21 (!) Senate Democrats.

Ridiculous.

Horrifying. Disappearing and targeting students with legal status over peaceful political speech is unconstitutional and a clear violation of due process and free speech.

Another blatant act of authoritarianism by the Trump Administration.
