Mueller admitted, more or less privately, that he assumed people would read his report and based on what it said, be like, "there is a lot of smoke, but we never found the gun or the body because of ALL THE OBSTRUCTION. YOU KNOW, THE CRIMES. BAD ONES."
we give garland a lot flak, and rightfully so, but looking jack smith's opening statement, i think we're all way too kind letting robert mueller slink back into the shadows

Great article about how David Lynch’s art beared witness to suffering and offered compassion in a brutal world. Lynch’s death was like a light that was extinguished — a light that showed the barbarism but also the empathy of humanity.

Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

That account is so... odd. 1 follower. Brand new. Might be a random troll, or some kind of fabulist looking to get screenshotted by big accounts. Something smells inauthentic.

There have been paeans to particular penises before in poetry, prose, and pop. I don’t know if there was ever a point in history when so many people understood and have been coaxed into visualizing the subject of such an ode. Godspeed, Mr Kelce Swift. What a strange unprecedented gift she gave.

Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.
