Charts like this paint an overly optimistic picture

Many countries are off track for delivery & are unlikely to fully implement their current policy targets without greater action

E.g UKs Climate Change Commitee asseses that there is insufficient implementation to meet 40%of our emissions target!

Amidst all the obfuscation, the misplaced hope and the delusional thinking around COP30, there are still people who distill reality into a pithy nugget of truth.

Like James does here:
What we can say right now is the 50% budget for 1.5°C is nearly gone while emissions are at all-time high. Warming will soon exceed 1.5°C & then some. Any prospect for warming around 2°C needs immediate start of fossil fuel phase out. Much of the 'analysis' beyond this point is speculation & bull💩

The fact that two tier Keir likes low taxes for billionaires and very high taxes for nurses and police officers and wants refugee assets to be confiscated to pay for the billionaire tax cuts (billionaires who are proven friends of Jeffrey Epstein) and you can see that Keir Starmer is rather evil.

I, like everyone else not born yesterday, knew Starmer was going to be a disaster, but watching his party throw refugees under the Farage-branded bus in a desperate attempt to attract his supporters is horrendous.

And to make things worse, it's a politically inept move as well.

And the acceleration of warming over the Northern Hemisphere is painfully obvious:

Since the first COP, atmospheric CO2 has continued to increase.

Global levels reached a new record of 422.8 ppm in 2024.

The rate of CO2 growth has accelerated from 0.8 ppm/year in 1960s to 2.4 ppm/year btw 2011-2020, & a record increase of 3.5 ppm between 2023-2024.

Temps are now accelerating.🙄
