Hansen thinks 2 degs is inevitable but I’m hoping he’s wrong.

I’ve been teaching secondary-age children about climate for over 20 years. I was telling them in 2003 that we’d do something before it got bad.

We have an initiative in the birding community called low-carbon birding.

One of the more entertaining messages of the autumn. From Phil Heath concerning a local Dusky Warbler

Transcribed audio.

No idea who Melanie is. 🤷‍♂️😁

Maybe we need to ban Israeli footballers as well as their genocide-loving fans.

The BBC recently interviewed this man as Honorary President of
Jewish Villains supporter club?

No such organisation exists.❌
He’s not Jewish.❌
He’s not even a Villa fan.❌

He’s a pro-Israel propagandist who works for the Henry Jackson Society.

And NOTHING happened. This country, lol.

The figures for 1.5 degs C from Lamboll et al gave four years of current emissions at this time last year… so I make that three years left now - although I’m no expert 😁

The slide is from one of Prof Anderson’s excellent talks. @kevinclimate.bsky.social

It is very apparent to patch birders in the east that the numbers, distribution and migration patterns of several winter visitors are rapidly changing as the climate warms. They don’t get talked about much though. 🤷‍♂️ 1/2

Well, how surprising.

Again.

Still very mild in east Norfolk.

No longer the time for sitting in full sea watching gear in the wind and the cold rain counting auks, gannets, divers and wildfowl…

AI shaping up nicely.

A whole field in flower here at the weekend. Looked like a May rape field.

Plus, the garden valerian is still flowering…

A lovely few days in the square after a poor autumn. The sea was dead but the bushes produced rarities and scarcities for us, the light was great and there was a Humpback Whale too. Early starts, long days and plenty of cycling & walking. 😁 🐳🚲 #norfolkbirding

One edited video of Trump is institutional bias and the BBC Director General and Head of News have had to resign. Yet hundreds and hundreds of cases of fully documented institutional bias towards a state committing genocide didn’t have any impact at all. The BBC are finished.

Four degs above average, flat calm sea, clouded yellow right by me in the dunes, no auks, divers, gannets or wildfowl on the sea, people having a swim and me and the dog getting mithered by hundreds of flying insects… 🤷‍♂️🙄
