Chatbots are not people. Stop conflating the two. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be better privacy with chatbots. We can have those things without them functioning in specific human roles.

Why a bunch of Senators who are retiring are leading the negotiations is something to really think on
I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

No. Just no. AI, particularly facial recognition, is notoriously faulty. Furthermore, law enforcement previously has wrongly arrested people in other cases (not ICE related) by relying only on the technology and not following up.
New incredible detail here: ICE says a match in its facial recognition app Mobile Fortify is a "definitive" determination of a person's status, and that this overrides birth certificates. This is an app ICE is using in the field to scan people

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same
