Back in March, @pedropeguerojr.com and I hosted our first meetup for @3-3.fyi. Our next meetup will be the first time that we *don't* have someone give a presentation.

I want to highlight the great presentations we got this year because they have been *really* fucking good.

The problem with PLURIBUS is that it only has two characters. One is a hivemind with a selection of bodies and the other only has one emotion. Three episodes in and after the initial shock, the story is merely a selection of scenarios with emotionally identical structure and outcomes. It’s so dull.

@symm.social thanks for making that AI opt-out list, really useful.

I think the big draw to @letterboxd.social for me outside of design is it seems like people on there really love movies and so the ratings are actually valuable for me.

Are there other sites for other forms of media? @record.club is good for music but what about: comics, tv, books, etc?

I’m sure doing this on every social platform is easy for the gov’t but bluesky has to by far be the easiest. Like basically realtime monitoring.
This is your regular reminder that the federal government is actively monitoring social media and most social media sites will comply with subpoenas to some degree.

So, you know. Be careful what you post

Israel is engaged in genocide, it is a genocide materially assisted by the US, and AIPAC is the biggest lobby pushing for that material assistance to continue.

AND.

We need to proactively address anyone trying to exploit these realities and justified anger to advance or engage antisemitism.

A neat little quiz game: Is a headline homophobia from the 80s-90s or transphobia from the 2010s-2020s? Because it's all the same bullshit, repackaged for the hate du jour

as a reporter, the part of this that i’ve simply never understood is how the next person to ask a question when he does something like this doesn’t simply repeat the question that set him off. it’s not just solidarity with your colleague, it’s an important question that remains worth asking
I’m not going to pretend it’s easy to say something in the moment when you witness the president do this and you’re aboard Air Force One with all the uniformed officers and secret service and fancy wood accents, but this is really an instance where you should. people.com/donald-trump...

I feel like whenever I want to release something that is not really designed yet, I need to make it _extra_ ugly/bad so no one thinks it is by mistake.
I'm procrastinating a lot today so two new experiments:

1. separated out the lexicon for marking your account as automated to a separate package. jsr.io/@voyager/aut...

2. made an ugly little tool to create the record on any account you own: autonomy.voyager.studio

First off, my suspension has ended. Got a little harsh with a post a few days ago but I didn’t have my feet on the ground and I’m sorry if I offended anyone. Will try to be more chipper. Knock on wood!

another point to reiterate is that a lot of the 21st century push around anti-lgbt legislation across africa is funded by white evangelical missionary organizations. they'll claim lgbt inclusion is a "western colonial" imposition while reading off scripts given to them by family watch international.

i think there’s exceptions to this but they’re very rare, like react betting on commonjs very early (and even then it was alternatively consumable via umd for a loooong time).

you want to be butter smooth with existing ecosystem *and* as a bonus, can unlock more with emerging tech
just want to come back to this thread to say i still thoroughly disagree with this philosophy of forcing double buy-in with tech looking for mainstream adoption
