Bria got this FAO Schwartz Christmas ornament years back in NY. At some point the F in FAO fell off and now it just looks like the bear is doing Westside Gunn ad-libs.

did a small refresh to both sonder and Anti's pfp, especially since I felt like Anti's still looked too flat. I'm happy now with where I landed, especially when the pfp is really small.

ordered a few new samples from Penhaligon, I've never been able to come across their fragrances in person. It's honestly kinda great that you can get free samples from them instead of having to spend >$50 for a "discovery set".

I didn't even think to design something in the context of a social network (I don't remember if I knew G+ would be a social network yet) so I designed one of those *old* MacOS widgets on like OS X Lion.
An ols Mac-OS styled desktop widget for viewing snippets of news articles from The New York Times. The widget is on top of a darkened photo of an iceberg, close up. This version shows the widget as collapsed. There is a button styled like a tab that opens to expand with other topic options. The article shown is a "food" article about adding mussel to your meal. In the bottom left is a text button that says "Open NYTimes.com". on the bottom right is a glossy share button for sharing the article, I guess to mail since I dont even think the messages app on Mac was out yet. this screen shows the widget in the middle of an animation where the topics list expands out like an accordion. this is the expanded state of the widget. The topic options include things like Front Page, World, United States, Technology, and all of the other sections of the NY Times that you would expect.

I also went for a similar walk yesterday, we’re basically twins.
A screenshot from Oura showing a walking exercise. The walk was for 29 minutes and seven seconds. I walked 1.1 miles, taking 2700 steps and burned 136 active calories. My pace was 26:48 minutes per mile. My average heart rate was 102 BPM. I spent the most time in heart rate zone one at 21 minutes. I spent three minutes in zone two.

Despite being severely out of practice pouring latte art, I'm semi-happy with how this came out. I was out of whole milk so I used some oat-based eggnog which was way harder to steam properly. Thanks @letta.com for the new glass!

Starting my Sunday week prep, I am officially a fountain pen guy now.
