This whole thread is excellent but this touches on something that I think is going to happen once the first bubble bursts — coding is already a highly mediated, formal* process, and programmers are already used to altering how they communicate intent to the machine.
so basically, the mismarketing of LLMs/diffusion models, blame for which I place mostly on Midjourney, OpenAI, and a few other companies, as general purpose knowledge/creation engines, has set back the development of these models for actual realistic, practical use cases

Amid the measles outbreak in the US, misinformation is flying on social media. Here are some hard facts about the deadly disease, which infected millions every year before a vaccine was developed.

The measles outbreak in Texas is reminding me of the public letter Roald Dahl wrote about losing his daughter to measles in 1962, just before the vaccine was publicly available.

"Americans think they deserve things like 'rights' and 'weekends,'" he went on. "And that's, like, really unfair to me."

Tornado in Daly City, warning from SF to Santa Cruz, now headed to you East Bay.

So far no waves.

Evacuation zones in SF (if there were waves it would hit SF at 12:10 according to SF Gate)

How (and how not) to disagree with your manager
Disagreements with your manager are inevitable, and it can be tempting to just tell yourself that you can’t fight the boss and give up. Don't.

Folks Jack Dorsey has zero to do with Bluesky. Early on he was spouting his usual bullshit about unmoderated platforms and the users chased him off the site. (He doesn’t believe in moderation but can’t handle getting yelled at.) Not long after that he quit the board and washed his hands of the site.
