Solid production of The Sound of Music. Nothing revolutionary but does it even need to be? I've seen the movie prob 100x as a kid and on stage a few times but still did not expect every song to hit me with a wallop of emotional nostalgia every time. Damn you Rodgers & Hammerstein!

A lot of people voted Liberal because they were terrified of Poilievre and his gang. I get that.

Amazed the HKG horrific fire already arrested 3 people so fast. And not the arsonists but the planners and engineer who cheapened out on the non-fire retardant materials on the 8 buildings. Did anyone even get arrested for Grenfell? They say 2026? 9 years later? HKG did it day of.

Vanessa Sears was a star in Brantwood, the amazing immersive musical at Sheridan, and has been a star in every outing since (including the last Bad Hats show Alice in Wonderland).
& Juliet's lead role might just be the hardest in musical theatre. With an F3-F#5 vocal range, hours of difficult choreo and a complex emotional bent, Juliet is a beast.
But if anyone can slay her, it's Vanessa Sears.

I’d funnel any money meant for superhero blockbusters for about 6 months into a stockpile of 110-minute, mid-budget movies for adults that we would slowly roll for the next decade. Each would be required to employ a minimum 5 fun character actors. I’d also force an adaptation of The Westing Game.

I worry the director will not understand what Urinetown is about (ahem, the London one with the director who has become the IT director right now)
I think Broadway desperately needs a Urinetown revival but fear that audiences have become too stupid to understand Urinetown, which is more or less what Urinetown is about.
