I think a trap many artists (+ teams) make is to overestimate the importance of the quality of singular assets, and undervalue how they are assembled, how they are blended together.

You get a lot more out of a consistent, harmonious environment with a good mix ratio than with only good models.

So, I've chosen to take voluntary redundancy at Sumo Group.

Whilst I had an opportunity to stay, this is the right time to bet on myself, and start a new chapter.

Got some exciting opportunities on the table, but open to speaking to folks about Community/Social/Comms roles. Let's chat!

Added in this little aiming UI, think it reads much cleaner that the 3D version, and it can be added onto anything the player controls without worrying if it fits (like when you enter the book!)

It's awesome to see a game like Split Fiction come out with positive reviews, we need more unique experiences, more funky camera trickery, more co-op mechanics, more games that use the fact they're *a game* to do cool and engaging stuff.

I honestly believe AbleToPlay is one of the most exciting things to be built in the accessibility space, and I have been grateful to see it grow over many months. It's amazing how well it works, and how obvious it is in hindsight that this should exist.

Dude, just sprint in that direction, even if it does end up being the wrong path you got some cardio out of it.

Here's a solid thread on games business, which is really worth reading if that's what you're doing.
I've learned (and I am still learning) how to run a game studio for the last seven years doing both creative and biz. Here's a list of guidelines that work for us and might be useful for others that were lessons I've incorporated with our experience and guidance from others. 🧵

so did you all know this entire time you can hit Semicolon to enter a debug view in Unreal that still allows you to play the game with a controller while you're in it?

why are we using Eject - is it just me, how have I never found this out?
