I just saw The Nanny referred to as classic TV and am definitely feeling some kind of way about it.

Gentle reminder that if Elon Musk were right with his predictions, my blind ass would have taken a hell of a lot of autonomously driven road trips since 2017.

Tr💩mp blaming disabled people for the American Airlines tragedy whilst implying that we were all sympathy hires. What pathetic person knowingly votes for someone that assumes out loud that anyone in your demographic should de facto just sit at home with your nurse?

Ooooooh the Sunday Scaries are back. Tryna work out if this is scaries on a personal level, a national level, or (most likely) both. The desire to hole up or look for remote work doable from a digital nomad friendly country is strong.

Trying desperately to learn about Cloudtrail and Cloudwatch. So dry it makes the Sahara or some of the cakes served at my school cafeteria look positively moist.

So quick question. Now that a major financial issue that was looming over us is no longer an issue, and we’re still looking at DC and Boston—do we also know anyone in the Ithaca or Binghamton area(s) that might wanna meet up with some permutation of @phinnia.bsky.social and/or myself?

Trying to decide whether I should observe the company's hackathon like I did last time—by staying home and enjoying the lack of meetings—or whether I should go to the company town hall, which … I guess there's free pizza?

Not sure where 90% of my grocery order came from, but just as well I have emergency pierogi, I guess.

Y’know I’m seeing a lot of parallels between the reaction when the United Health CEO was offed and when a serial murderer has been removed from the gene pool. Kind of like the parallels I see between a cup of coffee and … this cup of coffee.

That thing where I decide to prune all the duplicate code from our test repository and think "Oh this shouldn't take long" and now it's 1:00 in the morning and a THINK the tests are passing but my brain is bubbling ominously so I think that's it for me.

What's with Elon Musk having his mother sit in on so many meetings? Does he think he's Molly Burke?

Neither do you.

So my night consisted of learning AWS and discussing with @phinnia.bsky.social how it was possible anyone who watched Sesame Street could have a long term sexual relationship with anyone named Bert, because inevitably they'd come home and be all like Hey Bert and there goes the mood.

The problem with blindness is not the lack of eyesight. With the right training and opportunities, a blind person will, however, realize that they need like every damn browser because site X reads differently in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, etc.
