Members of the President’s own family mocked the attack on Paul Pelosi by posting pics of underwear and a hammer.

But god forbid you’re a comedian pointing out the truth about a white supremacist.

I think the evidence for Covid-19, a vascular and inflammatory disease that infected multiple organs, infecting and impacting the immune system had always been pretty strong.

“Just stay home” is not a public health strategy.

Non disabled people were livid during stay at home orders. They found the idea of being forced to stay home unpalatable, yet they’re only too happy to demand the disabled do it for the rest of our lives.

Clean air & masking make spaces accessible.
Got into a fight with a NURSE who we asked to give us a little distance when we were at a picnic table eating. We told her we’re were trying to be Covid safe because I’m at risk. She said I should have just stayed home. I said at risk people should be socially isolated and lonely AND SHE SAID YES

Just a friendly reminder that our current Covid vaccines do not meaningfully prevent infection or transmission of Covid. Misleading the public about this fact led to massive distrust about vaccines and record vaccine hesitancy. It's SO crucial to make ppl aware of this fact to fight vax hesitancy

"There will probably be some disruption to the junior dev market" I'm sorry but do you think senior devs happen when you teach the over 30s to code? It's an apprenticeship model - lose the junior dev pipeline now, no senior devs in years to come.

Feels like beyond reciprocal tariffs a more appropriate response would be specific targeted taxes on certain local (to them) hotels, golf courses, branded goods and other sources of income.

Hey everyone. Give Peter a warm welcome to BlueSky! He's one of the heroes. He's been a voice for science, for vaccines, for reason in these terrible times!
My first post on BlueSky, I could not access the same handle as my X (someone hacked into that one):

So it's @peterhotez for X and @peterhotezmdphd for BlueSky

The terrible CR Budget bill — written by right-wing House Republicans with no input from anybody but themselves — was passed tonight with the support of 10 Democrats.

An absolute failure of Democratic leadership. NOBODY in the Senate should have voted for this dangerous bill.

If this is true, it is historical vandalism pure and simple. Virginia is one of the greatest American war heroes in history. Read my bestselling book

You were taught that educated, single, child-free women are unwanted and pathetic because a woman who is unmanageable through attachment and enraged at the exploitation all around her is a very dangerous thing to an institution that needs to manage and exploit her in order to survive.

That paper is interesting and useful but the conclusion is utterly bizarre. Rather than suggesting that the best approach to the harms evidenced is simply not to use these tools, they conclude that the tools themselves need (somehow, magically) to fix those harms themselves.
