Slime channel form in game, plus an updated look at how things are coming along.

When Monster-type enemies are defeated Claire absorbs their essence in the form of skills :D

In this example, killing a Slime drains some charges of the Sticky Punch skill.

Working on a new Channel form for Claire; Slime themed for poison skills.

I've done a bunch of UI work lately as well but I'd like to wait til I've done a bit more of the art for it just cause it's not super pretty right now, even though it's important and functional :)

Idk enough about video game ratings, if I show someone smoking tobacco in my game am I now automatically at a mature rating and can use swears to my hearts content?

I would hate to write in no swears hoping for PG or something only to be slapped with an MA 15+ cause someone smoked one time.

RPG has random encounters now. I want to workshop ways of making them less frustrating to normally people who aren’t desensitised smt doomers but for now we got nocturne encounter rate.

Next is levelling up and then I can start balance testing the first little slice of the game!

I have very little to show of my game at the moment but basically you can play through up to the first miniboss. The levels are all greyboxed at the moment and there's about 10 different cutscenes of varying complexity missing, but it's there.

NCOSE is an anti-porn, Christian morality group that used to be known as Morality in Media. They have campaigned against gay marriage and sex ed. I showed a friend my game for the first time and he immediately pointed at Claire and said “Bright red hair and a midriff, that’s my wife” which is about the best first impression I could ever hope for honestly.

I played UNDERTALE just under a month after it came out, and I don't think I'd look at games the same way if I hadn't. There's something raw and unpolished about it that makes it so charming; it's perfect in all it's imperfections. I don't think my own game would be the same without it. Thanks Toby.

Gonna set myself the goal of having a fully playable demo of my game ready by Melbourne Games Week.

I probably wont be at the event (this year) but at the rate I’m progressing I think it’s an achievable goal.
