Flock sees you when you're sleeping
Flock knows when you're awake
Flock knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake
67 people-tracking Flock cameras across the U.S. were live-streaming on the internet, easily accessible with no login needed, @404media.co & @bennjordan.bsky.social found.

We know of five compromised Flock cams in Colorado.

One belongs to Douglas County, and it's at an open space trailhead.

Absolutely wild pink nitrogen ribbon aurora burst last night here in Iceland. There was cloud cover, and I was worried the show would stay shrouded. Voila!

The purpley-pink & white ribbons are much closer to us in the atmosphere than standard green arcs, and are fast moving.

tfw despite listening to a full song in a completely different genre/playlist + the display info for another song showing, tidal decides you're GOING to listen to the rest of black sails in the sunset whether you like it or not

Year's Longest Night, this side of the world. Wrap up inside the welcoming dark & bring it in to carry with you, in the light. The light will come tomorrow & we'll welcome that too, & the clarity & warmth it brings— but for now, esp in this era of weaponized surveillance, appreciate the dark, too

All the discourse on reading the papers you cite misses the reality that what matters in modern academia isn’t reading papers but downloading their PDFs onto your hard drive. If people are trying to cite something whose PDF they haven’t downloaded, that is a major breach of etiquette

Folklore walks. Not just across imagined lines on maps of nations, not just across time itself. Folklore instinctively walks towards landmarks. When stories see a ruin, a notable tomb or impressive tree, they travel towards them to tether themselves in the landscape. – Dr. M. Benn #Folklore

According to J. Carmichael Watson, the #Gaelic poet Màiri nighean Alasdair Ruaidh (Mary MacLeod, c.1615–c.1707), was buried face-down at her own request:

“She directed that she should be placed face downward in the grave – ‘beul nam breug a chur foidhpe’” (with her lying mouth down)

definitely still running with a low gas tank but in all honesty the quick work turnarounds seem to help with the post-show endorphin drops and saving the PTO is a good thing

also came in to "have a good night hope the milk doesn't fall on you like it did us yesterday" so the success bar is p. low
on the bus to work with nothing extra but a hoodie/beanie on and I'm actually kind of hot, which I guess makes sense after the weekend temps but is still very weird

Roger Dean is the most famous artist for many of Psygnosis's covers, but there were also others who created cover art for them, such as Ian Craig, Peter Andrew Jones, and Melvyn Grant.

Raven and Steve, the two person shop behind @unraveledpress.com literally got shot at and arrested for covering the ICE and US Border Patrol onslaught on Chicago. It did not slow down their efforts to expose the abuses of the feds and stand up for communities across Chicago. Thank you for the work.
