Democrats should make a criminal referral to DOJ and start describing what Trump is doing as criminal.
Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.

It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.

Long thread.

Apparently, the testimony of 40 minors was not enough to convince then U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta (later a Trump appointee) to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein.

This is one of the biggest cover-ups of our generation. @oversightdemocrats.house.gov won't stop until the truth comes to light.

Do Fox News hosts and commentators agree with their colleague Brian Kilmeade that the United States should "just kill" homeless people?

He still has a job. No apology. No retraction.

Just let us know, Fox.

If you did an obituary on Charlie Kirk that was just quoting directly in context what he was most proud of saying and doing, a lot of editors would say to revise it because it would read as being mean to a dead man

I rarely agree with Rand Paul, but here he perfectly frames JD Vance's complete vacuum of ethics, lack of logic, and dearth of democratic principles using "To Kill A Mockingbird" – a book that many have read, but clearly from which not nearly enough have learned.

But I think what got to me most was Tim Stanley's claim that claims of rightwing bias in the media are nonsense, because GB News is constantly complaining about leftwing bias. This, he appears to believe, is an argument. Yet he is treated, across the BBC, as if he were a serious voice.

Ghislaine Maxwell Says Trump Is as Innocent as Epstein
On left:

ABC: Ghislaine Maxwell told "Blanche that Trump had never done anything in her presence that would have caused concern."

On right:

Maxwell said same about Epstein, under oath.

DOJ 2022: "Simply put, the defendant lies when it suits her."

Whatever is the truth, she's no source for it.

Trump hasn’t cut drug prices by even 1%, let alone “1500%”. He told drug companies on Truth Social to cut their prices. They didn’t. End of story. This was also his plan to end the war in Ukraine - by posting “Vladimir Stop!” on Truth Social. It’s also how he handles trade.
