Seriously? Fuck these people. This is important information for me as a consumer. Even if I didn't care about the planet, which I do, I'm gonna care about the size of my power bill. This move helps nobody.

Brilliant to eliminate Energy Star, a program that costs $32m but delivered $40b in annual savings. None other than the US chamber of commerce tried to save it as a model of business/government partnership. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/06/c...

We have a moral imperative to address climate change, which will have enormous impacts on the future we leave behind for our kids and beyond.

Today, at the @naturalresources.bsky.social hearing, I spoke out on the GOP's giveaway to Big Oil, the most sweeping attack on our environment in history.

I’m not sure how Duffy can fix any of the issues with air travel when he’s on Fox 24/7 complaining about it and blaming other people. STFU for 5 minutes and do your job! This isn’t a reality TV show - people’s lives and livelihoods are in the hands of these unqualified dipshits.

Weather and climate research funds are being “chainsawed” from NOAA's budget. Last I checked, Louisiana & Florida, which are maximally susceptible to Hurricanes, voted Red in the last General Election.

Wondering if residents there knew in advance this would happen.

$9 billion a year for NSF is absolute chump change. It's nothing. And yet, cutting it will devastate American science for decades.

God, we're led by a morons, empowered by idiots.
Your regular reminder that NSF grants built the internet and helped the U.S. dominate tech.
BREAKING: NSF has frozen all grant funding, as of yesterday. It's unclear when they will resume funding awards, or why the pause has been put in place. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Trump is now housing hundreds of immigrants in notorious federal prisons. I collected accounts from detainees who report:

Moldy food; shortages of food and toilet paper; given used underwear + bloodstained clothes; no medical care; filthy cells; cut off from family; some missing their ICE hearings

As Trump dramatically expands detention, immigrants are moved to notorious penitentiaries where they report horrific conditions
