A “promise of a vote” is a promise that health care will become unaffordable for millions of Americans.

This is capitulation, not a deal.

Trump is using hungry kids as a political tool.

Even after the courts ruled that SNAP benefits need to be paid, he’s STILL trying to withhold this crucial food aid. Disgusting

1. Trump withholds SNAP benefits, putting 42M people at risk of hunger.

2. Courts rule that Trump has to pay SNAP benefits.

3. Trump appeals ruling to Supreme Court.

Regardless of how the Supreme Court rules, how evil do you have to be to want to make people go hungry???

Thousands of travelers were left stranded today because Republicans refuse to end this shutdown.

With the holidays approaching, families shouldn’t have to worry about canceled flights and missed reunions. It’s time to put the American people first and get back to work.
Flight cancellations kick in at LAX, ONT; 1,000 flights cut nationwide
Airlines have been issuing alerts to passengers to be aware of possible flight impacts; no end to government shutdown in sight.

42 million Americans are counting on this to put food on the table in the coming weeks. We must keep fighting to guarantee these funds are distributed and families receive the benefits they are owed.
USDA says it's working to comply with judge’s order to pay full SNAP benefits
The department's memo to state SNAP directors comes after the Trump administration filed for an emergency stay of the court’s decision.

I stopped by OCC’s food bank to hear how the lapse in funding for SNAP will affect OC students and families.

Across the country, families are having to choose between putting food on the table and affording health care because of the Trump administration.

I’ll keep fighting to protect OC families.

Republicans – end your vacations. Get back to work. Families across the nation are counting on us to protect their benefits and end this shutdown.

What an amazing World Series! Congrats to the Dodgers for winning back to back titles and serious props to the Blue Jays for a legendary effort.

This series reminded us of what makes baseball— and America— great. Diversity, grit, and coming together during times of adversity.

As open enrollment begins today, families across the OC are going to see their premiums rise exponentially, all because Republicans wanted to give tax breaks to billionaires and take health care away from our most vulnerable.

Because of their greed, everyone suffers.

Happy Halloween!

Because of Trump’s economic policies, the cost of candy has risen by up to 33%.

On the other hand, the Trump family is illegally accepting billions in bribes.

In this administration, all the treats go to them and all the tricks are played on us.

Three months ago, the DHS failed to answer my questions about ICE agent misconduct.

Now, I’m leading 21 members of Congress in a letter to DHS Sec. Kristi Noem demanding oversight and accountability. No one is above the law, and that includes ICE agents.

Katherine is the primary caregiver for her autistic, nonverbal daughter.

Republican cuts to health care will prevent her daughter from accessing the care she needs and force Katherine to choose between putting food on the table or paying medical bills. We must keep fighting to protect Medicaid.

Starting Nov. 1, families across OC will start to go hungry because Republicans are holding their SNAP benefits hostage.

Using hunger as a political weapon is unacceptable. It’s time for Republicans to end their vacations, get back to work, and protect the benefits families rely on to survive.

Happy National Immigrants Day!

As the son of Korean immigrants, I know firsthand that immigrants make America great. Today and everyday, let us keep working to build a future where we celebrate the diversity that makes our nation so special.

Trump's plan to open oil and gas drilling across California’s coasts is not only illegal, but will jeopardize our environment and California's multi-billion dollar coastal economy.

California’s coasts are not for sale. I’ll keep fighting to protect our shores.
Trump plan would allow oil rigs along entire California coast
A leaked Trump administration plan would open the entire California coast to oil and gas drilling, potentially including parts of the Bay Area — though obstacles remain.

Today marks 7 years since the Tree of Life mass shooting, when 11 worshippers were murdered at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.

As we honor their memory, let us keep working toward a future free of hate and antisemitism.

No matter how much they try to gaslight us and defund scientific research in this country the evidence is clear:

Vaccines save lives.

I got my flu and COVID shots this fall, and I hope you’ll do the same.

A study found that covid-19 vaccines appeared to awaken the immune system in lung and skin cancer patients, helping them live longer than those not vaccinated.

FBI and DEA Agents aren’t able to prosecute human trafficking and drug trafficking cases because Trump has them arresting people at Home Depot and car washes.

This is unacceptable and does nothing to keep us safe. I sent a letter demanding answers on this shift in personnel.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

Find a single House Republican who will show up to work to reopen the government.

Rocio is an IBD patient who receives coverage through the Affordable Care Act, locally known as Covered California

Because of Republican cuts to these services, she could lose access to the lifesaving care she needs.

We must protect affordable health care. People like Rocio depend on it.

Trump’s disastrous higher ed policies are failing students and workers. I hosted a roundtable with UCI grad students, researchers, faculty, and labor leaders to hear how they’re being impacted by this administration and share what we can do to fight back.

Meanwhile, Trump is once again trying to rip off taxpayers to enrich himself and his grifter family.

Donald Trump is taking away resources for prosecutions of human trafficking, drug trafficking, and arms trafficking in order to separate families and target nonviolent immigrants and day laborers.

This does nothing to make our nation safer and is entirely un-American.
