Most Nobodies aren't allowed to be happy, but Naminé was particularly banned from happiness or friendship while being the most innocent of the victims. I will grant that Roxas got a rawer deal, like, he just had his entire world dismantled in front of him.
She is NEVER allowed to be happy or think about herself or do anything other than suffer, usually on someone else's behalf. People talk about how Kairi's not allowed to do anything, at least she isn't being tortured all the time!

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

To be fair, this is the essence of DYRL. Having an absolutely life-shattering breakup and having to put on your professional face and do work anyway. So in a sense, I'm experiencing it as intended,

I do deeply love Do You Remember Love? but I need like, some sort of warning box to pop up in Foobar if hit shuffle and I land on it. Like it genuinely does put me in tears every time and almost instantly.

No. The Thing is a movie about a bunch of people who all distrust and hate each other trapped in one building as the tension between them slowly builds until it reaches a breaking point. It's a Thanksgiving movie.

The thing that I see consistently missed when people talk about Chain of Memories is that the original assertion of XIII is absolutely correct. They were easily able to completely chain and control Sora in false memories. His commitment to being faithful to his memories is absolute.

In Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, there is a bug in the airstrike handling. If you reopen the shop interface after throwing a signal grenade and letting it bounce once and select a new airstrike, you skip paying for the airstrike and can have as many simultaneous airstrikes as you want.
i was going through my X archives and found this by @superpodsaga.com, which I qrt'd at some point years ago

so, let me bring the question back: what is the most useless piece of video game knowledge you know?

I don't have any clever insights to the Mets offseason behavior, but I will say that I'm kinda dreading tuning in to spring training and not recognizing half the team. Like, emergency maneuvers were warranted (we called for them!) but it's a sad thing.

If you ignore that everything works on emotional logic in KH and remember how memory and instinct and habit are physically stored in the body, the more horrific Castle Oblivion is. It doesn't just block access to some memories in your brain, it's basically rewiring your whole body.

The fact that when you play KH in order, you go from Sora sounding 12 in KH1, to Sora sounding 17 in RE: Chain of Memories, to Sora sounding 15 in KH2, is intensely funny.

It turns out Castle Oblivion takes away your memories by de-aging you!

A Menagerie of Monstrosities is a collection of magical mishaps, arcane servitors, and otherwise mage-made bad ideas. It's a little longer than the usual and has no variants this time! I'm really fond of the talking cannon with a Napoleon personality.

I would prefer you spit on me than tell me I'm "valid". I don't need you to tell me I'm "valid", I was born "valid". Don't patronize me. Let us deal with the real issue, and not just shit out nothing phrases. "You're so valid" turns my issues into a beat of your self-improvement arc. Fuck off.

I conceptually understand how computer architecture works. How signals and registers make operations. How firmware works. How hard drives work and how they're manufactured. How data transmits. How programs are written, how OSes handle them

It still hits me sometimes how insane all this is.

Alcohol companies putting bizarre knicknacks inside the liquor box is the adult version of a kinder egg. Sometimes it makes sense, like it comes with a hipflask or a shot glass, but half the time it's something completely bizarre like "a small pouch" or "poster that says badass" or "plastic skull"
