Totally agree. Sometimes I think if he put even half that energy into actually serving people, the country might look a whole lot different right now. Sadly, the stage always seems more important to him than the audience...
"Trump will host the Kennedy Center honors" obviously won't be the worst news today but it sure does exemplify some of the worst things going on: the narcissism, the North Korea-style Great Leaderism, the drive to subjugate institutions, the cultural degradation, etc.

Our lovely cat, adopted from a rescue a year ago, is being operated on this morning to remove an old airgun pellet from his skull. We had no idea it was there until it caused an infection last week. Very grateful for any fingers you could cross for him.

To be honest, seeing those in power abuse their authority breaks my heart. The privileged often dodge responsibility while the innocent suffer. Sometimes I feel powerless and tired, but that only makes me more determined. We can’t stay silent or give up. Together, we can change the world
We’re basically just paying for these people to have vacations and do horrible morally reprehensible things to people who don’t look like them
