We’re just as bad at messaging as the Democratic Party.

Ok and? This is no surprise. This is a fact fir a journo or pol to bring up in an interview. This is not discourse that’s going to educate, change minds, or shame.
While we may face repercussions for this, the truth lies in the metadata. Memos to federal employees are being authored by individuals with ties to Project 2025. You can verify this yourself.

Went to the DNC website for shits and giggles and they have the nerve to have a donate pop up appear first.

They were texting me left and right begging in the summer and fall but damn sure haven’t reached out with a plan of action, updates or anything else.

I don't want my appliances to be connected to the internet. I don't want them to have blinky lights or touch screen controls or be accessible by phone. All I want is for them to do the one thing they are supposed to do, and to beep less.

Hear that, manufacturers? Less beeping.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read the Odyssey, so I can’t recall why Odysseus was reluctant to return home once he reached Ithaca.

Keeping the morning coffee but subbing in date sugar. We’ll see how this goes.
Fact:
by replacing your morning coffee with Green tea, you can lose up to 89% of what little joy you still have left in your life.

Pass. I don’t love it in bodegas either but the food is primarily packaged. Coffe shops are more open air re: how food is handled. I don’t want your damn cats dander in/on my scone.
People who complain about a cat in a coffee shop need more problems in their life that they didn’t ask for or to take a trip to New York. Either, or.

Im convinced products are chipped and are being read by our phones.

Came home from the gym and decided to brew some coffee (I’d been in an instant coffee kick prior to this. I have some skinny syrups so dropped some vanilla in the pot and hit brew…

Sounds like my job.
as i sit here finally off of the string of 7 meetings in a row, I am free to think about which of the 6-7 soul crushing, urgent, and unfinishable tasks i should tackle first. as i start thinking through them, I realize its tomorrow already.

My literary consumption at the moment is primarily fiction via audio books. I struggle with non-fiction and scholarly titles via that format though. For that I do better with a hard copy.

I used to read books voraciously when I was younger, through undergrad & grad school due to my degrees being in the humanities. As I entered my professional careers, including one in educational publishing, I read less and less. Primarily due to time…time to explore new titles and time to read them
I used to be the biggest bookworm, but for the past few years, I find myself getting less interested in reading. I'm 40 now. Does anyone else experience this? Do you have any suggestions on learning how to get back on track? #Booksky
