Yesterday Trump, who hates Indigenous people specifically, went after the budget at IAIA, the Institute of American Indian Arts. This is a attack on our modern cultures as vibrant living forces. Please call your representatives, where ever you are, and let them know this is a travesty.

You want to do something important for Pride this year? Unpack your prejudices and your white fragility. Decolonize your spaces. Show up for Natives in these communities. Call out your racist friends and allies.

every article about politics in every mainstream publication is flat out lying to you if it does not emphasize that our government has been taken over by freaks and lunatics
RFK Jr celebrated the release of the MAHA report by downing raw milk shooters in the White House with influencer Paul Saladino. Hazards of raw milk include Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Yersinia, E. coli O157:H7, and now-- avian flu.

This morning we learned that the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Apache Stronghold’s case seeking to protect sacred sites and water from destruction by a massive open-pit copper mine. The mine, developed by UK/Austrailia based Rio Tinto, one of the world’s largest mining corps.

Fuck the Supreme Court
Today the Supreme Court cleared the way for the federal government to transfer thousands of acres of national forestland including a Native American sacred site, to Resolution Copper a mining company owned by Rio Tinto and BHP. The land holds deep spiritual significance for the Western Apache tribe.

The House Republican reconciliation bill will now ban both surgeries and HRT prescription under Medicaid for all Americans.

Earlier, I posted that it wouldn’t affect HRT. This is incorrect.

I was mistaken, because the bill refers to medications for trans people… as “procedures.”

This is Tetiana Kobryna, animal activist. She and her 28 year old son Pavlo were killed by a Russian drone yesterday in Kyiv. Five rescue cats were killed, as well.

Tetiana treated and fed homeless animals with her own money. Ten more cats lived under her care at her apartment.

RIP, Tetiana.

FWIW I overheard an FBI agent at the federal courthouse talking about how none of them in the Tampa office have time to investigate actual crimes anymore because they've all been put on welfare check duty on kids whose parents were deported.
“[DHS] argues the visits are meant to identify and stop trafficking, with a senior official claiming the Biden administration allowed unaccompanied children to be placed with sponsors who were ‘smugglers and sex traffickers.’” They aren’t; they weren’t.
Homeland Security agents are now doing ‘wellness checks’ on immigrant children
Legal advocates say they’re worried the visits signal a return to law enforcement agencies with deportation authority managing immigrant child welfare.
