Well, fellow humans, I'm finally finished with both the norovirus AND the celebration of the sun's return. Time to get back to writing and see if I can finish the end of the Superchief Arc by Jan 1. Then onto the Supersecret Supersilly Project, aiming to finish by Feb 1.

Lost an elder in her 90s today. Went by to see her but she had already walked on, all I could do was hold her cold hand and visit with her folks.

I am working away and wondering the best way to remove AI from my life. I don't want to see inhuman content. Similarly I don't want skills I have spent a lifetime developing scraped & degraded by a program. Leaving social media is likely the best option.

The only conclusion to draw at this point is that the Bluesky moderation team and C suite are racist. They made an example of an autistic Black man and have never said a word despite overwhelming community support for Link.

It fits neatly into eugenics based ideas that our identity is founded in "blood" not community or culture. A disconnected person for whom rumored "blood" is a pass being used to drown out the voices of people who are invested in their culture and their community is an injury to everyone involved.

This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.
