In country after country, far-right populists offer easy solutions to often non-existent crises, fuelling xenophobia, jealousy, rage for votes. Once in power, they (ab)use their position, serve themselves, & keep people angry while solving nothing. Those who have not yet realised this don't want to.

Zack Polanski’s response to the Manchester terror attack has been a masterclass in mature statesmanship.

Soulful, human, eloquent, empathetic, nuanced, confident and focused on healing.

And bold. It has shone in contrast to so much weaponising or ill thought through commentary.

Thank you Zack. 💪

Why, you might ask, do the BBC and Sky News, casting their editorial guidelines to the wind, keep giving massive airtime to the far right, while shutting out leftwing voices? Don't their bosses understand the likely consequences?
Only one explanation now remains.
They do.
And it is what they want.

Serena Williams saying that she eats the most nutrition rich diet known to humankind and is elite level fit but still isn’t thin so is taking weight loss jabs sadly sums up the West’s attitude to weight. It has eff all to do with ‘health’ and it never did.
