This kid is 15, and so has a moral clarity and uprightness that no adult elected official would or could ever have. There aren't really and never have been two sides of this issue, but if it has to be argued as a binary thing I don't see how anything less than this could seem like the side to be on.
this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...

This lady wakes up every day being so hateful that clearly the high has worn off and she has to keep hating more and more groups trying to chase it, one day we’re going to wake up and she’s going to have a diatribe against bicyclists
JK Rowling is vile, and in no way an ally to LGBTQ+ people.
Asexual people continue to be persecuted through forced sexualisation. People stigmatise their clothing choices and behaviors which lead to harassment. There’s need for increased visibility and education on this issue.

More disturbing stories about the detention centres. Among them, there was a couple in Canada taking selfies at the Peace Arch border. They accidentally strayed across the boundary and were taken into custody.

popularist horserace politics have completely scrambled people’s brains such that they can’t see that the question in front of them is whether they will resist evil things even if they’re popular
Even if he does it is worth resisting! I find all the talk of whether Trump’s power is legitimate baffling, honestly. He’s a straightforward authoritarian! The main reason to push back is all of the stuff he is going to do, not how his vote total stacks up to previous presidents.
Trump does not have a mandate.

The continual inability of people, including many (cis) reporters), to apply proper scrutiny to sources and consider the obvious possibility that some parents -- and yes, even certain practitioners -- might have a transphobic perspective is really astounding.
