I challenged the govt on two fatal flaws in the Planning & Infrastructure Bill: it contains no social housing target, so it won’t deliver the affordable homes communities desperately need, and it weakens nature protections, further enriching big property developers at the environment's expense.

@adeliepjz.bsky.social. Hi Adelie. I've just got round to listening to yesterday's Ukraine: The Latest. Just to say, I'm really sorry you've received the comments you have on your accent. It feels to me incredibly unfair. As Hamish, I feel both of your accents are brilliant; it's great to hear you!

As a vet, I’m used to practical, hands-on work. You have to get such stuck in - sometimes literally - so politics can sometimes feel like a different beast.

That’s why it is great to be spending time with other politicians who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make a real difference.

I am the first MP to be refused entry on arrival to Hong Kong since 1997.

Authorities gave me no explanation for this cruel and upsetting blow.

I hope the Foreign Secretary will recognise that this is an insult to all parliamentarians and seek answers from the Chinese Ambassador.

It’s 2025 and families are waiting a CENTURY for affordable housing.

As well as building new social homes, the Government needs to support councils to ‘buy the supply’, buying back and buying existing homes to save families from the stress of the private rented sector.
