On Christmas Eve, I want to send my best wishes to all of my constituents, supporters and colleagues as we wind down to celebrate Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year.

Just back from visiting the British Army in Estonia, grabbing a couple of things from my office and then heading back to Winchester until the New Year.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas🎄

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Liberal Democrats have won more local by-elections than any other party in 2025.

In real elections up and down the country, only the Lib Dems are taking on Reform and winning.

December proved to be a busy end to the year. In Parliament, we completed the final touches to the new Mental Health Bill on track to become law soon.

Veterinary medicine, and the way we care for animals, has changed beyond recognition since the Veterinary Surgeons Act was passed in 1966.

That’s why it urgently needs updating.

Starmer’s Trump Tax is a disaster for our NHS and for patients. Billions of pounds will be plundered from hospitals and GPs to pay big American pharma, all to please the White House.

What on earth is Labour playing at?

Pandemics don’t start in hospitals. They often start in animals.

That’s why university vet schools matter so much for public health and pandemic preparedness.

I’ve written about the proposed closure of Cambridge Vet School and why it has national consequences.

Horrified by the sickening terrorist attack in Bondi Beach. My prayers are with the families of those tragically killed.

As Jewish communities come together to celebrate Hanukkah, we must stand together against violence and hate. Light will always triumph over darkness.

Economists now agree on the direction of travel: Brexit has made the UK poorer and it's getting worse — lower growth, less investment, and a widening gap.

If we’re serious about growth and funding our public services, we need to be in a customs union.

🐟🌲💧- Our environment is under attack!
The government is getting rid of the biodiversity net gain promises they previously made. That means precious habitats like our chalk streams in Hampshire are all under threat.
This is not acceptable. We have to protect our environment.

It’s outrageous that so many families are struggling to afford food while our farmers are being pushed to the brink, hammered by soaring input costs, trade barriers, and the looming threat of new taxes.

🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

Women deserve safe and compassionate maternity care. Baroness Amos' report today shows that this is simply not a reality.

These services are in desperate need of investment if we are to ensure that incidents of criminal negligence are brought down so that all mothers and babies are safe.

It’s time to chainsaw the Brexit red tape and end the cost of living crisis. Labour MPs should back our plan for a new customs union.

Short story. My mum's landline broke a couple of months ago. Stolen copper wiring or something. She's been waiting ever since for BT to repair it. Last Monday she emailed her MP, @dannychambers.bsky.social asking for help. He fired off an email to BT. A week later, and her landline's been fixed.

Animals will be protected from cruel smugglers under new laws cracking down on the vile low-welfare pet trade.

Deceitful pet traders will no longer be able to cram vehicles with dozens of pets for sale.

I am very proud to have changed the law today.
