The government has recovered £74m from excessive profits made by companies running asylum accommodation, the BBC can reveal.

The Home Office said it had recouped the money following a review of contracts after Labour came to power last year.

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Yup, yesterday was still well short of the size of other marches, but scarily large as well.
I’ve looked into this now.

I can’t find an example of a far right march or rally attracting much more than 10,000.

A far right march on this scale is completely new for the UK.
I’m sure someone will have the stats on it but is this the biggest far right demo since the noontide of Mosley?

Sky News says police are "overwhelmed by the numbers". Met coped perfectly well with 2x as many at the pro-Gaza rally, 5x as many at the anti-Brexit march, and 15x as many at London Pride.

They're not overwhelmed by the numbers. They're overwhelmed by the ratio of violent thugs in those numbers.
