So I was sitting in this pot of boiling water, as one does. And it was gradually getting warmer and warmer, as tends to happen. Just another day, nothing much was going on.

I do realize only to well fast moving climate disasters can't always be planned for or prevented. But this is real bad.

The situation in national parks is bad & getting a lot of press (yay!!). But the situation in national forests is actually catastrophic & not getting much airtime. The situation in national parks is bad & getting a lot of press (yay!!). But the situation in national forests is actually catastrophic & not getting much airtime. Most of the employees in western NC, where I live, who were working on Hurricane Helene recovery were fired. www.bpr.org/bpr-news/202...
