Students might be accumulating a lifetime of debt in order not to learn much...

Q: Trump accused Democrats of seditious behavior punishable by death. Does the president want to execute members of Congress?

LEAVITT: No

I think more members of Congress should do ads telling federal employees not to do illegal shit. Get the ones with law degrees out there saying, “We’ll prosecute your ass when Trump is gone if you crime for him.”

Donald Trump could have just kept his mouth shut about Jamal Khashoggi.

But to smear a dead journalist, while sitting with the person accused of orchestrating his murder is just vile.

Every time this administration hits rock bottom, a trap door seems to open.

Cretin behavior.

This article is utterly fascinating.
In the 1600s, thousands of people were buried in crypts under a Milan hospital & preserved by unusual conditions. “What is striking is how much you can extrapolate from an ancient body,” says one researcher, “and how much you can understand from that about the period they lived in." @science.org

#Thalidomide
"Dr Frances Oldham Kelsey made history [..] she served as the proverbial red tape of the federal bureaucracy. She challenged a drug’s safety claims and repeatedly refused to approve its sale in the United States — a decision that saved lives and prevented widespread harm."
As federal workers face mass layoffs & a government shutdown, Dr. Frances Oldham Kelsey's story is a reminder of what public servants can do when they stand their ground. Oldman's refusal to approve thalidomide—a dangerous drug tied to birth defects— changed medical history👇
