Husband. Acupuncturist. Bear. Nerd. Vegan. Pagan. He/him. NJ.
I don't like winter or cold, but most of the warm states are run by Republicans. So there aren't a lot of places I'd be really excited to live in the US.

Last holiday visitors have left. I'm fighting a cold. Curled up on the couch with tea and a blanket watching "The Empire Strikes Back."

I suck as a husband sometimes and don't always read the stuff my hubs writes. So I just caught up with his article celebrating the 75th anniversary of #Peanuts . I may be biased, but I think it's a great look at why the comic got so big.

post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, or alice in chains.

(I can think of at least four.)

Good things still happen. We are still capable of making them happen.
Construction on the nation’s largest #wildlife #overpass is now complete. Although designed for elk and pronghorn, the 200-foot-wide Greenland Wildlife Overpass can provide a safe crossing for a variety of animals and connects nearly 40,000 acres of habitat.

At the doctor's (routine checkup) and this one family has spread out all over the waiting room and they are yelling across the room to communicate. Fucking why? Just why?

My cousin's son is so like me when I was his age. I wonder if my cousin has figured out what that likely means. 🤔😜

Hmmm. 🤔🫣
Well, a Santa hat and normal clothes. Not a full Santa suit. I don't think anyone wants to see me in *just* a Santa hat. 🤭😉

Hey, it's my print debut for National Geographic! This fall, I got to accompany folks from the Fort Worth Zoo on an incredible adorable mission: releasing tiny Texas horned lizards to new lives in the Hill Country.

(You will want to click on this one, trust me. The photos are adorable.)
Is the grumpy-faced Texas horned lizard adorable enough to survive?
As habitat loss and invasive predators decimate the Texas horned lizard population, researchers are banking on statewide fervor to bring them back.

I catch the sun
And by my power
I cast it on
Across the sky

To rouse the gods
